Architecture
WinDesk: Pure P2P — only signaling runs over our Swiss server; screen data never touches it, no media relay. TeamViewer: cloud-centric, screen data routed via its own servers.

Try WinDesk on the free plan — no account, no card, two hours of session time a month. Pro costs CHF 29.90 per month plus 8.1% VAT and is billed from the first month.
WinDesk: Pure P2P — only signaling runs over our Swiss server; screen data never touches it, no media relay. TeamViewer: cloud-centric, screen data routed via its own servers.
WinDesk: Switzerland and EU. Lightnet Multimedia GmbH without US parent, no CLOUD Act. TeamViewer: DE-incorporated, EU servers, also GDPR-compliant — but EU mutual legal assistance applies.
Both tools have Windows + macOS + Linux clients. WinDesk: Pi arm64 as an equal platform. TeamViewer: official Pi builds for host and client.
WinDesk: Pro CHF 29.90/month including 1 admin + 100 hosts; additional users CHF 7.90, additional hosts CHF 12.90/100. Linear. TeamViewer: bundle-tiered, with price jumps between tiers.
WinDesk: host sign-in bound to the security chip (TPM 2.0 / Secure Enclave) where available. TeamViewer: partially hardware-bound, depending on plan.
TeamViewer (Tensor): integrated. WinDesk: on the roadmap.
Data location Switzerland, transparent flat pricing (Pro CHF 29.90/month instead of TeamViewer's bundle tiers), Pi arm64 as an equal platform, host sign-in bound to the security chip (TPM 2.0 / Secure Enclave), and no cloud-centric architecture — screen data travels peer-to-peer only.
WinDesk Pro at CHF 29.90/month includes 1 admin + 100 hosts and scales linearly (CHF 7.90 per extra user, CHF 12.90 per 100 extra hosts). TeamViewer Remote Access covers one user and a handful of devices in its lowest bundle, and steps up from there.
WinDesk sessions run directly between host and client (P2P). The Swiss signaling relay only brokers the handshake — after that, nothing passes through our servers. TeamViewer routes traffic through its own cloud servers.
Session recording is on the WinDesk roadmap. It is not available today — if recording is mandatory for your audit, TeamViewer Tensor is currently the better fit.
WinDesk has an official arm64 build for Raspberry Pi 4/5 (Pi OS Bookworm 64-bit) as an equal host and client platform. TeamViewer supports the Pi officially too, including the full client since version 15.32. On the Pi the two products do not differ.
