Highlights
- No more endless waiting: if a step stalls, WinDesk stops after a short while and names the reason.
- Messages you can act on: connection errors now appear in German, English, French and Italian.
- Stable pairing: paired hosts stay connected across installations and updates.
Connecting
- Every step now has a deadline. If the other side does not answer, you get a message instead of an endless spinner.
- The message names the step that failed — for example the account authorisation or the answer from the remote side.
- If the host cannot be reached over the network, WinDesk points to firewall and VPN on both sides.
Blocks and account
- If your internet address was blocked after too many failed attempts, the app shows the remaining time and offers to lift the block.
- If your organisation requires two-factor confirmation, you now see a notice instead of a silent failure.
Host
- „End session“ now really disconnects the other side; the host stays reachable and shows a new PIN.
- Installing while the application is running no longer fails.
- Session ID and PIN can no longer be selected by accident — a click still copies them.
- Pairing messages are translated and state the reason clearly.
