Released on 6 July 2026. A stability and update release: the picture fully rebuilds after a brief interruption without any leftover artefacts, update checks follow a clear sequence, and updates now install automatically on Linux too.

Highlights

  • A clean picture after interruptions: if a connection drops briefly and reconnects right away, the picture now comes back complete — with no image artefacts left behind.
  • A clear update flow: the update check first shows "checking" and then the result — no longer both at once.
  • Automatic updates on Linux: WinDesk now keeps itself up to date on Linux as well.
  • Always-on hosts stay current: a host running as a service updates itself even when nobody is signed in.

Connection & image quality

  • After a short drop and an immediate reconnect, the picture rebuilds in full; any regions left behind are refetched on their own.
  • More robust behaviour when disconnecting and reconnecting quickly.
