Start for free

Step by step

01

Create Pro account

Open a Pro account at app.windesk.ch/register. A card is on file from the start, billing runs from the first month. Want to try things out first? The Free plan needs neither an account nor a card.

02

Export device list

AnyDesk web console → “Address Book” → CSV export. The list is your checklist for the host installation.

03

Install WinDesk Host

Alongside AnyDesk on target devices. The two do not interfere with each other. Cross-platform: Windows + Mac + Linux + Pi.

04

2–4-week test phase

Move sessions to WinDesk, keep AnyDesk on standby. Verify reliability + feature parity for your use cases.

05

Cutover

Cancel your AnyDesk licences, optionally uninstall the host software. WinDesk audit trail takes over seamlessly.

Frequently asked questions

Where is WinDesk clearly better than AnyDesk?

Swiss hosting (instead of DE), host sign-in bound to the security chip (Secure Enclave / TPM), multi-session tabs natively, Pi arm64 as an equal platform, Apple-notarised Mac builds. Details on the alternative page.

Where does AnyDesk lead?

Self-hosting (AnyDesk Custom Client), longer market maturity, broader mobile apps. If that is mandatory: AnyDesk remains a good choice.

How long does the migration take?

2–4 weeks of parallel operation for a typical MSP setup.
